Prayer to begin meditation
Heavenly Father, your love has been poured into our hearts
through the Holy Spirit given to us.
Open our hearts to your silent presence within each of us,
the dwelling place of the Spirit of your Son.
By the same Holy Spirit,
hold us in your love,
as we make the gift of this time to you.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer to close meditation
The Lord’s Prayer

We thank you, loving God,
for the gift of this time and these days.
As we rise from our meditation,
may our hearts always remain open
to your presence around us,
loving you and loving our neighbour as ourselves.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
